Courageous Day – An Event for Young People

Dear Parents and Young People (and leaders – please let us know if you can help)

Having not met in person for two years, we would like to invite our young people to Courageous Day on Saturday 5th March at Bishop Auckland Methodist Church, an event organised by the church for young people.

We will start at 12:30 with food and finish around 3:30pm. We will link remotely with other youth groups during the afternoon.

Please use this contact form to contact Rev John if you wish to come and we will send you a consent form to bring with you. There will be no charge for this event, but please do let us know if you intend to come.

Courageous Day is a day for children and young people aged 8-23 years across the Darlington district.  It is a day for connecting with one another and it is for all children and young people who are in the church, in youth groups and in the local community.

Children and young people from Darlington and Teesdale, Middlesbrough and Eston, Stockton, Castle Eden, Stokesley, Cleveland and Danby, Bishop Auckland and Shildon, Durham and Deerness Valley, West Durham and North Yorkshire.

Courageous Day brings people together with prayer, fun activities and engaging worship-it is for everybody – children and young people who are Christians, children and young people exploring faith, children and young people who want to know more about Jesus, and what it means to follow Jesus.

Courageous Day- What’s it all about?

Courageous Day explores the themes of Grow- Travel- Transform

Grow:  Exploring how we grow in faith

Travel:  The journey of faith, the places we are and the people we meet

Transform:  How Jesus transforms our lives and helps us to transform the things around us!

This year it’s all about the Journey-  How we journey together and how we journey with God

There will be lots of fun and thoughtful activities to choose from
God bless
John and Vanessa
