Bishop Auckland Methodist Church has raised funds over 2016/17 to attach a defibrillator to the outside wall of the church available to all to use in the case of an emergency. With its position on Cockton Hill Road opposite the hospital and next to Eden House nursing home, it is a key location in the community for this life-saving equipment. There have been deaths recently in the community in Bishop Auckland that may have been avoided had a defibrillator been there, so the church is really excited to be able to make one available. Always hoping that it will never be needed, but knowing that statistically it increases the chances of survival whilst awaiting an emergency ambulance, a community training event will be held on Monday 14th August 6pm-8pm. If you would like to attend this free training, to learn how to use it, then please contact Rev John on 01388 603142 or email email@example.com. Thanks to everybody who has helped with fundraising.
