Bishop Auckland Methodist Church

A world united and yet still divided

Pray for all our sisters and brothers worldwide, as well as what is happening in our local hospitals.

A colleague in Uganda whom I studied with for a few years writes the second comment in reply to the post below from an Irish colleague:

You may have heard that some of the Aer Lingus A330 jets that normally do the transatlantic flights began yesterday to bring Personal Portective Equipment from China to Ireland for our wonderful healthcare workers. This picture was taken yesterday evening of the first plane loaded up and ready to leave China. It’s due in to Dublin today and many more flights planned in the coming days. Lets pray for safe travels and that the equipment gets to those who need it most working in our hospitals etc

You healthworkers are quite fortunate! Our healthworkers are not as fortunate. Most of our health workers just dream of such Personal Protective Equipment even in this era of the Coronavirus pandemic!! Actually my daughter who is  a Clinical Officer/ Medical Assistant told me the other day that many of them are even considering resigning due to their constant exposure to occupation hazards.
